Fortunately, a red dust storm did not occur while we were in Australia, but this is one of Russell's pictures of how things look when the red sands of Australia are stirred. Phoenix dust storms have nothing on Australia.
We had a most wonderful time with Jennifer, Russell, Nicholas, Georgia, and Madison. Oh, and the cats too - Mozart and Minty who both claimed space at the foot of our bed during the night. They were pretty excited about the air mattress in the living room and wanted to be in on the fun.
Our hosts spoiled us rotten on our visit taking us around Sydney to see the sites, feeding us exquisite gourmet meals each night, and attending to our every need. I am a little annoyed that Russell slaughtered me in the games Abalone and Pentago - he was simply unbeatable. You would think he would let me win just to be hospitable, don't you think?

We enjoyed the last night eating at a Thai restaurant. Holidays are enhanced greatly when spent with good long-lasting friends. We left Australia Friday morning feeling refreshed and well tended thanks to Russell & Jennifer's good care. We plan to get back to LAX on Friday and then fly to Kaua'i for two days just to check out that Hawaiian island.

Will write soon from Kaua'i. Bye for now.
